Many of the innocent animals died in the bombings and the Nazi soldiers savagely murdered those who survived when they went on a fun killing spree. Unfortunately in July 1942, the Nazis began liquidating the Warsaw Ghetto by shipping hundreds of thousands of Jews to the death camp Treblinka. The war raged on, but by the following June a true miracle had occurred. Antonia gave birth to her daughter Teresa, who was a blessing and ray of hope amongst so much terror, cruelty, and death.
